The district
Board recaps, weather closures, enrollment windows, surveys. They go to every family in the district, whether or not they apply to you.
ParentSquare emails
District updates, school posts, class posts, teacher posts, the PTA. Forward the ParentSquare emails to Sense and the picture days, early dismissals and form deadlines go straight onto your family calendar. The rest stays in your inbox.

ParentSquare is one app, but it carries every layer of school at once. Each layer posts on its own schedule, and each post is an email.
Board recaps, weather closures, enrollment windows, surveys. They go to every family in the district, whether or not they apply to you.
The principal's weekly note, the front office, the nurse, the library, the counselor. Each one posts separately.
Each teacher posts class news, photos and reminders. Two kids in two grades means two streams. Add specials teachers and it grows.
Sign-ups, fundraisers, volunteer asks and spirit wear. Many schools run these through ParentSquare groups too.
What parents try
ParentSquare can bundle everything into one email in the evening. It is fewer emails, but now picture day is item eleven of fourteen in a long scroll.
Quieter, until the early dismissal you never saw. Most schools ask you to keep urgent alerts on for a reason.
Most posts are photos and recaps, so it is reasonable to skim. The cost is the one post with a deadline in it.
How it works
Step 01
Verify your email address in Sense once, then forward ParentSquare emails to share@getsense.ai. Digests and attachments included.
Step 02
It pulls out the dates, times, what to bring, and anything to sign or pay. Emails with nothing to schedule are left alone.
Step 03
Events land on your family calendar, with reminders for deadlines, so everyone sees the same plan.
Premium lets you set up a Gmail filter that sends every one of these emails to your personal Sense address the moment it arrives. Sense reads each one, adds what has a date, and ignores the rest. How to set up auto-forwarding.
The free plan covers 10 emails a month for the whole family, which is enough to forward the ones that matter. A busy school on auto-forward will need Premium, which is unlimited. See pricing.
A week of ParentSquare
Forward the ParentSquare email itself, not a screenshot. Sense reads the post text and any PDF or image attached to it, like a field trip form or a flyer. If you use the daily digest, forward the digest: Sense reads every post in it and pulls the dates from each.
FAQ
Inside ParentSquare, open your account settings and change notifications to the daily digest, or turn off posts you do not need. Keep urgent alerts on. Then forward the emails (or the digest) to Sense so the dates reach your calendar without you reading every post.
Yes, through Sense. Forward the email and Sense creates the events on your Sense family calendar. Sense also connects to Google Calendar, so they show up there too.
Yes. Forward the digest and Sense reads every post in it, adds the ones with dates, and skips photos and recaps.
Sense reads PDF and image attachments, so the dates on a field trip form or a fundraiser flyer get picked up too.
