Email to Calendar
Auto-forward from Gmail
Once forwarding clicks, make it automatic. A Gmail filter can send matching mail to your personal Sense address the moment it arrives - so the weekly class newsletter turns into events without you touching it. Sense walks you through this on the Email Forwarding screen; here's the shape of it.
Step 1: add your Sense address to Gmail
- In Gmail on a computer, open Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- Click Add a forwarding address and paste your personal Sense address.
- Gmail sends a confirmation code to that address. It arrives in Sense and shows up in your Messages tab - open it and follow the confirmation link.
Step 2: create a filter (not whole-inbox forwarding)
- In Gmail, click the filter icon in the search bar.
- Set a rule - for example, mail from your school's domain, or containing your team name.
- Choose Forward it to and pick your Sense address.
Start narrow - one trusted sender - and widen the rule once you trust it. Forwarding your entire inbox would flood Sense with noise, so always use a filter.
If both parents get the same newsletter, only one of you should auto-forward it. Sense de-duplicates, but it's tidier to have a single source.
Auto-forwarding points at your personal address, which is part of Premium.
