Calendar Sync
Show Sense events in Samsung Calendar
Samsung Calendar can't subscribe to a calendar link the way Apple Calendar and Outlook can. Instead, the Sense app on your Android phone adds a read-only Sense calendar right on the phone and keeps it up to date. Samsung Calendar, and any other calendar app on that phone, shows it next to your other calendars. You don't need a Google account.
Turn it on
- In the Sense app on your Android phone, open Settings → Connected Calendars.
- Under Sense In Other Apps, turn on Show In Phone Calendar.
- Allow Calendar access when your phone asks.
- Open Samsung Calendar. Your family's events appear in a calendar named Sense.
Whole family or one person
Sense starts with everyone's events. To show just one family member's events instead, tap Change on the card and pick them. Their calendar is named after them, like Emma - Sense.
How it stays up to date
- Sense refreshes the phone calendar about once an hour, every time you open the app, and right after you add or change an event in Sense.
- To refresh it right away, tap Sync now on the card. The card also shows when it last synced.
- It covers the last 30 days and the year ahead.
Good to know
- The Sense calendar is read-only on your phone. Add and edit events in Sense, and the phone calendar follows.
- It's set up per phone. Turn it on in the Sense app on each Android phone where you want it.
- Turning Show In Phone Calendar off removes the Sense calendar from your phone. Signing out of Sense removes it too.
- On iPhone, use Show Sense events in Apple Calendar instead.
Don't see it?
- No Show In Phone Calendar option: update the Sense app from Google Play. The option is only on Android phones, not on Sense Hub.
- Sense needs calendar access: tap Open Settings on the card, go to Permissions → Calendar, and choose Allow.
- Events aren't in Samsung Calendar: open the menu in Samsung Calendar, go to Manage calendars, and make sure the Sense calendar is turned on.
- Events show up twice: you may also have your Sense link subscribed in Google Calendar on the same phone. Keep one of the two.
