Calendar Sync
Show Sense events in Google Calendar
Want the family schedule in Google Calendar next to your work meetings? There are two ways, both under Settings → Connected Calendars → Sense In Other Apps.
- Add events to Google - with two-way sync, Sense writes its events into a Google calendar you pick. They're real Google events you can edit on either side.
- Subscribe to a read-only copy - one private link Google keeps checking. Free, nothing to sign in to, but read-only in Google.
Subscribe to a read-only copy
- Under Subscribe to a read-only copy, tap Get the link.
- Choose One combined for everyone's events in one calendar, or A calendar per member to subscribe to just the people you want.
- Tap Add to Google Calendar. Google opens and asks to add the calendar - confirm it.
To add it by hand instead, copy the link, then in Google Calendar on a computer click + next to Other calendars → From URL and paste it.
Good to know
- Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, which can take several hours. Two-way sync shows changes within minutes.
- Use one or the other. If you subscribe to the Sense link and add events to Google with two-way sync, you'll see each event twice.
- The link is private. Anyone who has it can see your family's events, so share it only with people you'd show the calendar to.
