Kid Mode

Kid Mode turns a device into a simpler Sense for one child. They see their own day - their events, chores, rewards, reminders, and birthdays - and everything else stays behind your PIN. It's set per device, so the family tablet can be in Kid Mode while your phone stays fully featured.

Turn it on

1. On the device your child will use, set up a PIN under Settings → PIN Lock. Kid Mode needs it to keep grown-up actions locked.
2. Open Settings → Kid Mode.
3. Under This device belongs to, tap your child.

The device switches right away and greets them by name.

What your child sees

• Their own things. Events, chores, reminders, rewards, and birthdays, filtered to what's assigned to them.
• No adding, editing, or deleting unless you allow it (below). They can still check off their own chores.
• Hidden: Lists and Ask Sense. Settings asks for your PIN, and upgrade screens say to ask a parent.

Let kids add their own events and reminders

In Settings → Kid Mode, turn on Let kids add events and reminders for each child you trust with it. They can add their own, but they still can't change or delete anyone else's.

Turn it off

Open Settings (it asks for your PIN), go to Kid Mode, and tap your own name under This device belongs to.

Good to know

• Kid Mode works on phones, tablets, and Sense Hub. It isn't on the web, which is meant for parents.
• The same child can be set on more than one device.
• A kid with their own login and Their own info access is always in Kid Mode on their phone, and can't turn it off.
