Give your kid their own login

An older kid or teen with a phone can have their own Sense login. They get their own notifications and can check off chores and see their schedule wherever they are, and you choose how much of the family they see.

Send the invite

  1. Open Settings → My Family and, under Children, tap Add child.
  2. When asked "Will they have their own phone?", choose Yes, they'll get their own login.
  3. Enter their name and email address.
  4. Under What They See, choose their access (below).
  5. Tap Send invite. They get an email, install Sense, and sign in with that address to join your family.

What they see

  • Their own info - a simpler app with only what's assigned to them. It's Kid Mode, and they can't turn it off.
  • Family calendar - the whole family calendar, plus their own reminders and chores. They can add events and reminders and change only their own.
  • Full access - the whole family calendar, lists, and reminders, like any adult.

Whichever you choose, kids can't manage the family - adding or removing members and changing family settings stays with the adults.

Change it later

Open Settings → My Family, tap your child, and change their access.

Younger kids don't need a login. Choose No, I'll manage their info when you add them, and use Kid Mode on a shared tablet.
