Import your Cozi calendar into Sense

Updated July 2026

Cozi lets you share your family calendar as an internet calendar URL. Sense reads that URL and imports your existing events - copying them in as your own, editable Sense events so you can leave Cozi behind. This takes about two minutes.

Cozi puts the shared calendar URL behind Cozi Gold. If you are on free Cozi and do not have a share link, skip to what to do without a Cozi URL - you can rebuild your calendar in Sense from your inbox instead.

Step 1: Turn on calendar sharing in Cozi

You can do this on the web at my.cozi.com or in the Cozi mobile app.

  1. Open Cozi and go to Settings.
  2. Open Shared Cozi Calendars.
  3. Switch All family members from Unshared to Shared.

Choosing All family members matters: Cozi creates a separate feed for each person you share individually, so picking the whole family means one URL to copy and every family member's events come over together.

Step 2: Copy your Cozi calendar URL

  1. With sharing turned on, tap VIEW OR SEND COZI URL.
  2. Choose COPY COZI URL.

That link is your calendar feed. It usually starts with https:// or webcal:// - both work with Sense. Keep it on your clipboard for the next step.

Step 3: Paste the URL into Sense

  1. Open the Sense app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Connected Calendars.
  4. Tap the + button in the "Import to Sense" section.
  5. Choose Import. This copies your Cozi events in as your own, editable events - the right choice if you're leaving Cozi. (Prefer a live read-only mirror that stays in sync with Cozi instead? Choose Subscribe.)
  6. Paste the Cozi URL you copied.
  7. Tap Import.

Step 4: See your Cozi events in Sense

Your imported events appear in the Sense calendar within a minute or two, as normal events you can edit, reschedule, or delete like any other. They're yours now - nothing stays tied to Cozi, so you can cancel Cozi whenever you're ready.

Running the import again later won't create duplicates - Sense skips anything it already imported. If you chose Subscribe instead, your Cozi events appear as a live read-only calendar that re-syncs every hour and stays tied to Cozi.

What if I don't have a Cozi URL?

Cozi's shared calendar link requires Cozi Gold. If you're on free Cozi, you don't need the feed at all - Sense can rebuild your calendar from the emails that filled it in the first place.

Forward your school newsletters, sports schedules, and activity emails to your Sense email address (you'll find it in the app). Sense reads each one and pulls out every date, time, and location, adding them to your family calendar with no manual entry. A handful of forwarded emails usually rebuilds most of the month. This is also how you get events you can fully edit in Sense, rather than a read-only mirror of Cozi.

Frequently asked questions

Is importing my Cozi calendar free?

Getting the shared calendar URL out of Cozi requires Cozi Gold, since the export feed sits behind their paid tier. On the Sense side, connecting an external calendar feed is a premium feature. If you're on free Cozi and can't get a share URL, rebuild your calendar by forwarding school and activity emails instead - that works on the free plan too.

Do my imported events stay in sync with Cozi?

No, and that's the point of an import - it's a one-time copy, so your events become yours and no longer depend on Cozi. If you'd rather keep a live mirror that re-syncs every hour, choose Subscribe instead of Import when you paste the URL.

Will the import include everyone's events?

If you switch All family members to Shared in Cozi, the single URL you copy includes the whole family's events. Cozi also lets you share one person at a time, which creates a separate URL per member. For the simplest move, choose All family members so you only paste one link.

Can I edit my Cozi events once they're in Sense?

Yes, if you use Import - imported events are fully editable, just like events you create in Sense. Only the Subscribe option keeps them read-only, since that one stays tied to Cozi as the source.

Does Sense import my Cozi lists and recipes too?

The Cozi shared URL only carries calendar events, not shopping lists, to-do lists, or recipes. Cozi doesn't offer a way to export those. In Sense you can recreate your lists quickly, or dictate them to the AI chat assistant.

Can I bring calendars from other apps too?

Yes. The same Connected Calendars screen imports any calendar that publishes an internet feed - Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, your school, sports leagues, and more. See how to add a school calendar to Sense.
