Getting Started

Forward your first email

This is the feature families fall in love with. Forward an email full of dates - a class newsletter, a party invite, a season schedule - and Sense reads it and adds the events and reminders for you. No app to open, no retyping. Here's how to do it the first time.

The quick way (free)

  1. Open Settings → Verified Emails and verify the email address you send from. This is a one-time step so Sense knows a forward is really from you.
  2. From that verified address, forward any email with dates in it to share@getsense.ai.
  3. Within a minute or two, the events appear on your calendar, assigned to the right family members wherever Sense can tell who they're for.

What makes a good first email

Anything with real dates works well - a school newsletter, a swim schedule, an evite, a doctor's appointment confirmation. Sense handles messy formatting, long forwarded chains, and even dates buried in a PDF or an image attachment.

Your own private address (Premium)

With Premium you also get a personal forwarding address you can send to from anywhere - no per-sender verifying, and it's what lets you set up auto-forwarding so school mail flows in on its own. See Your forwarding addresses for the difference.

Common questions

How long does it take?

Usually a minute or two. A big email with PDF attachments can take a little longer while Sense reads the attachments.

What if it gets something wrong?

Every extracted event is a normal event - open it and edit the time, place, or who it's for, just like anything else.

Can I see what I've forwarded?

Yes - the Messages tab lists every email you've forwarded and what Sense pulled from each one. See Why an email wasn't picked up.

Sense decides what's an event, what's a reminder, and who it's for - and quietly ignores duplicates if the same email comes twice. There's nothing to configure.
